Heart Of Flemish Gin and Tonic

  • 5 cl Flemish Gin 23
  • 15 cl Neutral tonic
  • Junipers

Pour 5 cl Heart Of Flemish Gin 23 in a copa glass. Add a neutral tonic, for example Fever-Tree, Thomas Henry or Fentimans. When it comes to garnishing, less is more. A few junipers are enough to give the premium spirit its full potential. There is no need to worry if the transparent colour of the gin starts to turn white. The scientific explanation lies within the essential oils that the distillate contains as a result of the lemon peel. These substances, in combination with ice and tonic, can turn white.

Flemish Bijou

  • 3 cl Heart Of Flemish Gin 23
  • 3 cl Dry vermouth
  • 3 cl Elixir De Moor
  • Lemon zest

Stir all ingredients with ice, strain into a chilled martini glass and you will create this delicious Bijoustyle cocktail. Tip: Make it less boozy by letting the liqueur dominate. The original recipe for a Bijou uses chartreuse liqueur as the sweet element. For this Flemish version of the classic cocktail, we had no choice but to use another Flemish product, Elixir De Moor.

Rosemary Sour

  • 5 cl Flemish Gin 23
  • 2,5 cl Fresh lemon juice
  • 1,5 cl Simple syrup
  • Rosemary
  • Thyme
  • Lemon zest

Combine all ingredients, the rosemary and thyme as well. The herbs give the classic Gin Sour a Mediterranean twist. Strain into a tumbler filled with crushed ice. Garnish with the fresh rosemary and thyme sprigs and lemon zest. Tip: Bring the cocktail to another level with a homemade deep-herb infused rosemary thyme syrup. In a small saucepan, place equal parts water and sugar over medium heat and add thyme and rosemary. Stir until all of the sugar has dissolved and the mixture comes to a simmer. Strain herbs from syrup and place in a container. Make sure the syrup is cooled before use.

Lavender 23

  • 1,5 cl Flemish Gin 23
  • 3 cl Dry Fino Sherry
  • 1,5 cl Lavender liqueur De Moor
  • Lemon zest
  • Pansy

This light delicate cocktail is a perfect after-dinner drink. It combines the dry flavor of the fino sherry with the herbaceous gin and the floral lavender liqueur perfectly. Stir all ingredients with ice, strain into a chilled martini. Garnish with lemon zest and a pansy.

Neat Pour

  • 6 cl Heart Of Flemish Gin 23

Our gin is breathtakingly delicious when pure. The Heart Of Flemish Gin 23 is perfect for a “neat pour”. At first glance, it looks just like a shot of gin but it certainly is not. With a neat pour, we attach more importance to the tasting quality. While a shot is usually served in the same type of glass all around the world, a neat pour deserves a better and more qualitative glass in order to do full justice to its aromas. Choose a glass with a tulip shape and preferably on a foot so the spirit doesn’t warm up immediately.
